§ not yet · vol.01

one thing is finished. the rest is listed, not sold.

Two separate things on this page. First the range: other instruments the house is making, digital and physical. Then, further down, the features landing next in the timer itself. Nothing here is for sale, there is no waiting list, and there are no dates — when something is ready it moves to the front page.

  • the timer

    available now

A stretch of time drawn in light and sound while it passes. Mac beta today; the iPhone build is with App Store review. Get it.

  • glance surfaces

    in development

The lock screen and the watch face as places a running interval simply sits, with nothing to open.

  • a browser extension

    planned

The same glance, in the tab you are actually looking at.

  • an incense clock

    not yet made

Duration by scent, moving through three registers, in the lineage of the incense seals described in the reading.

  • a light clock

    not yet made

A room whose light warms across ninety minutes, so the interval is read off the walls.

  • a tape and loop piece

    not yet made

One composition playing slower on every pass, so the medium keeps the count.

  • a tessera wall clock

    not yet made

The mosaic as an object on a wall: one tile filling for each unit, at whatever size the room wants.

No pre-orders and no email capture. There is nothing to join.

§ 02 · features to come

what lands next in the timer

the timer itself

This is the next release of the timer itself, not a separate product. Some of it is partly here already, and where that is true it says so — the point of this list is that you can tell the difference.

  • Lock-screen and Dynamic Island glance on iPhone, as a Live Activity, mirroring to the Apple Watch Smart Stack.

    not shipped · in development

  • Calendar-driven timers: a timer that starts itself when an event begins, for that event's length.

on iPhone now · Mac next

  • A browser extension, so the glance follows you into the tab you are looking at.

    not shipped · planned

  • Haptic time on Apple Watch — duration felt as pulses rather than seen.

    not shipped · planned

  • More of the durational vocabulary. Harmonic dispersion and phase shift are the first two audible modes; a compositional lifecycle mode — a figure that forms, dissolves and re-crystallises — is next.

dispersion and phase shift ship today · lifecycle mode not shipped

  • A magnitude channel: weighting a session by how heavy the event is, not only by how long it runs.

Updates are free. No date is given for any of the above, because none is known.
